Youth International is an experiential learning
program focussing upon international travel and
inter-cultural exchange, volunteer community
service, home stays, and outdoor adventure.
Travel for three months with a team
of up to 14 people between the ages of 18 and 25,
and two leaders.
Each group explores three different countries in;
Asia (Thailand, India, and Nepal), or South America
(Bolivia, Peru, and Ecuador including the Galapagos
Islands), Both trips run twice each year from
September to December and February to May.
Help build an orphanage in Bolivia, live with a
tribal family in Thailand, meditate with Tibetan
monks, do conservation work in the Ecuadorian
rainforest, visit the Taj Mahal, assist the poor in
Mother Teresa’s clinics in India, search for wild
animals while sailing through the Galapagos Islands,
hike along ancient footpaths in the Himalayan
Mountains, or along the Inca trail through the
Peruvian Andes to Machu Picchu, and much more.

that hold new adventures and new life lessons around

A comprehensive Orientation & Education Phase appropriately prepares each participant to effectively serve in a volunteer project of their choice. The focus of the program is the homestay
located 5 hours from Kathmandu
Valley, where we will live and work with
families on a community development
project. You will participate actively
in the daily life of the village,
beginning each day with language lessons
before heading to the work site to help
build a school.

Setting Though one of the smallest countries in the world,
Nepal boasts the highest mountain and
the deepest valley, as well as an
astonishing array of animal and plant
life. The extreme variations in
altitude have created a wide range of
environments, from lush, steamy jungles
and subtropical grassland savannas to
barren, freezing mountain peaks.
Nepal’s varied geography has also
contributed to a high level of ethnic
and religious diversity. On this
program to Nepal
you will explore many of the country’s
beautiful landscapes, as well as
different ethnic communities through
homestays and visits.
